Weight Lifting Championship

Every year during our winter season we lift in the weight room to solidify fundamental movement patterns that will keep us healthy, and to build the strength we need to row well.  The last session, usually in early February, is our lifting championship.  The sum of all weight lifted in squat, bench, deadlift, and glute bridge are the athlete’s raw score.  We also take down athlete weights to see who is the best pound-for-pound lifter.  The goal is to further motivate our work in the weight room, building to a competitive conclusion like we do in the racing season.
